So, I had a cool find today. It wouldn’t do me any good to share it now probably, but you can score a free $5 gift card to babies r us by becoming a fan on Facebook, I am not sure how long it is valid- it probably expired today.

Tomorrow begins a free 3 pack sample of huggies so I am told. I will TRY to post a link if it does work.

I am always happy to hook up with samples for baby, even if it will be a while before he can use them, they are wrapped in plastic and therefor will stay good for a while. You never know, a free sample of a diaper may come in handy one of these days!

So, one of the best parts about being pregnant so far is the growing fast as a weed finger nails- am I right!?

It was a sunny Sunday,  we agreed we would wait to take the test until we were both home for the day and free from the distractions of work.  I took the test and went back to bed ( It was 8 am ish) but all I could do was smile and look at him.

He opened his eyes and looked at me, he knew by the look on my face. He laughed and put his arms around me. We were going to be parents.

From what I gather, I am one of the few people who shared the good news so soon. We found at 4 weeks, I didn’t hesitate to share the news. I was so happy, I couldn’t keep it a secret. I wonder how do some women keep quiet about this kind of news until they are 3 or 4 months along!?

My husband works fast. It took him 2 weeks to get me pregnant after we got married, we dated for a long time so we knew we wanted a family. We are excited about our son joining us. We have a history together, we have had many adventures and we feel we did this the right way. Now we are preparing for a new adventure… parenthood.

As I type this I can feel my son moving around and kicking, it makes me smile. My belly is glorious and HUGE already.

I will give you an up: baby shopping is a blast, even on a budget. My sister is throwing a baby shower for us, so we have been hesitant to get too crazy on the shopping. We set a small budget each time we go. Yesterday we agreed on $20 at Target. We managed to score a huge pack of refill baby wipes, 3 valentine t shirts and a 4 pack of onsies. The dogs were not neglected, that $20 also allowed them a box of doggy bones. We had change left over. How can you beat that!

$2o is our normal budget, I think if we are dropping $20 an expedition on the sweet baby, we are going along way to stocking up without getting EVERYTHING we need, that allows for shower goodies from the friends and family. They are all excited about the baby.

Last time we went baby shopping, our $20  budget scored us a lovely $20 handmade baby quilt.

This upcoming weekend we are going to try to hit the outlet stores at Lodi, we will probably increase the budget, maybe double up and take advantage of some great deals.

The downside: I am so tired of sleeping on my left side already! I dream about rolling over and snoozin away on my belly!
